I graduated from Connally High School, in Waco, TX. in 1979 I attended McLennan Community College, in Waco, TX. and graduated in 1981. I graduated from Baylor University, in Waco, TX. in 1990, with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. In 2005, I earned a Master of Education degree from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, TX.

This summer I attended professional development at Region 7 and Malakoff ISD.
At Malakoff, I attended PBL and Google training.
This is my third year to teach in Malakoff ISD.
For the 2019-2020school year, I will be teaching 6th grade Social Studies, 7th grade APBL, and 6th grade Technology Applicaitons.
I began my career teaching in Hillsboro ISD in 1991 and the next year I taught 1st grade, year round, at Bell’s Hill Elementary in Waco, TX. For two years, I taught 2nd grade in China Spring ISD. In 1995, my family moved to Henderson County, and I began teaching at Cross Roads Elementary. I taught fifth and second grade, was the Student Support Director for 4 ½ years and the Elementary Principal for 6 ½ years.
I have been married to my husband and best friend Mark for 38 years. We have 4 children and 3 grandsons, and 1 granddaughter.
I have a garden, and I can salsa, pasta sauce and pickles from the vegetables in my garden. I also chochet hats. I have a brother-in-law who takes them to transplant patients at Baylor, Scott and White Hospital in Dallas.
I am a cyclist. My husband and I ride bicycles 2-3 times a week. I enter bike rides, around this area of Texas, and usually complete 40 to 64 miles in these rides.
